The Sony A7R II is the first full-format camera with a backlit CMOS image chip. The resolution is on crazy 42.4 megapixels and the ISO value can be scanned up to 102,400. The fast hybrid AF system provides an extra wide focus area with 399 phase-detecting focus points. A 5-axis image stabilizer reduces all vibrations and lets you shoot in much weaker light and allows smooth video capture. You can film in 4K directly in the camera or to external recorder via an uncompressed HDMI output.

The image tag is without low pass filter, so all details are preserved. To reduce the sound and vibrations the camera itself creates, it is equipped with "Reduced-Vibration Shutter" and "Silent Shooting" mode.

In order for you to really benefit from the camera's high resolution, it is equipped with a 5-axis image stabilizer. It's great help when you're moving while shooting, it's easier to zoom in a subject for manual focus, and of course, to shoot in low light.

The fast AF system has 399 phase-detecting focal points that cover 45% of the image area, as well as 25 contrast focal points. The autofocus also works brilliantly with A-mount lenses, via an adapter, and even Canon lenses you can use with autofocus using a MetaBones adapter. This gives a much larger lens selection.

A7R II is optimized for filming in 4K. You can shoot in Super35 format without pixel binning, giving sharper, finer and more detailed recording than you get from a 4K movie from other cameras.
